| Assistant Director, Community Relations & OUtreach |

White Plains Hospital Center, a 292-bed leading healthcare provider in Westchester County, is seeking an Assistant Director of Community Relations & Outreach. The selected candidate, reporting to the Vice President of Community Relations & Marketing, will manage all community health and outreach programs for the Hospital including wellness events, health fairs, health screenings and education, Speakers Bureau, and participate in community-wide special events. He or she will also maintain and expand productive relationships with community organizations and assist with the Hospital's Hispanic Outreach Program. Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years experience in community relations or health education. Nursing or health education background and Spanish language skills a plus but not a requirement.

This highly visible position is responsible for supporting the External Affairs Department and PCDC’s fundraising, communication, marketing, and policy efforts. Through its targeted loans, performance improvement programs, and policy leadership, Primary Care Development Corporation (www.pcdcny.org) is at the forefront of efforts to strengthen the primary care sector in New York and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in reforming healthcare by working with key policymakers, healthcare providers, advocates, and the media.
Position requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and up to two years of fundraising, communication, marketing, and/or policy experience, preferably with project management experience. An MBA, MPA, or MPH is preferred. Candidates must possess strong verbal, writing, editing and research skills and be proficient in Raiser’s Edge, desktop publishing, web development, and Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints is a must. Knowledge of New York healthcare issues and passion for healthcare reform strongly preferred
